The art of Stop Motion

This stop motion animation video is a caricature of the British musician Stephen Greenwood for the introduction of his show about “narrative music” that was used during one of his concerts in London.

The traditional techniques used for the animation consist in shooting frame by frame, each second containing 24 frames. This is a highly time consuming process that brings a very subtle image and movements impossible to obtain using digital animation.
